Dr Michelle Phua is a Family Physician who graduated from Cardiff University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. She completed her housemanship in the United Kingdom before returning to Singapore to continue with her training in the government hospitals, rotating through various specialties such as General Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Surgery, A&E and Anesthesia.

Dr Phua left for the private sector subsequently and spent some time in Aesthetics. She obtained certifications from the Aesthetic Dermatology Educational Group (ADEG) and was also conferred a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. However, she still felt that Medicine was where she could truly be herself. That led her to spend many subsequent years at a Polyclinic, an International Clinic and a local private GP clinic, gaining broad exposure to patients of all ages and various nationalities.

Dr Phua believes that a Physician’s knowledge is vital to providing good patient care, and went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from the National University of Singapore. This was later followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from London, for which she obtained a Distinction.

Dr Phua sees herself as a down-to-earth Generalist, and is happy to serve patients of all ages in the heartlands, and treat a wide variety of cases, from acute to chronic.
